Mind training.

Before you start training your dog , you decide if you want it to be an attack dog,a watch dog, a seing eye dog , a show dog or a pet, and then start the training.  What you train it to do and the methods you use to achieve the goal will be different in each case. You will not teach an attack dog, party tricks.  You will also choose the right trainer for each goal.

When such is the case for training a dog, why are people foolish and casual about going to workshops, classes and retreats to change their life . Without knowing what they want to achieve how do they choose the trainer. What makes people think that sellf proclaimed Gurus can teach any subject without having any background?
